Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has separated himself as Trevor Lawrence's clear No. 1 target three games into the 2026 season. Washington leads the team in targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns, reeling in 15 catches for 221 yards and two scores on 23 targets. The former sixth-round draft pick put forth strong production in the second half of his third NFL season, and has continued that impressive streak into Year 4.
When asked about Washington's ability to make strong, contested catches, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen compared his WR1 to superstar pass catcher Ja'Marr Chase. "You look at Jamar Chase's lower half, it looks similar to Parker in a lot of ways: that thick lowers that are explosive, strong, physical. I would say it's a little bit of an outlier for sure," Coen told reporters on Wednesday.
The Jaguars are 2-1 to begin the 2026 season following Sunday's Week 3 blowout win over the reigning AFC-champion New England Patriots. Washington reeled in three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in the 35-6 win, taking a backseat to veteran WR Jakobi Meyers. Jacksonville will look to continue its positive momentum into Sunday's Week 4 matchup against Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals.
