Jeremy Clarkson has said his victory at the National Television Awards represents a "vote for farmers". His show, Clarkson’s Farm, picked up the reality docuseries prize, seeing off competition including At Home With The Furys, Stacey & Joe, and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. Receiving the award from Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland – the new presenters of his former show The Grand Tour – Clarkson remarked: "Crikey.
Some lovely programmes in that category. "I’ve just discovered Paris Fury is from Doncaster like I am. I don’t want to drone on forever, on behalf of everyone who makes this amazing show, thank you." Speaking backstage after the win, Clarkson noted that taking home the trophy was a "thrill".
"The people who voted for us…I also think they kind of voted for farmers. I think they are going ‘oh that is a difficult job’." The Prime Video production previously collected the factual entertainment series title at last year’s ceremony. Earlier in the year, Clarkson disclosed in an episode of Clarkson’s Farm that he had been diagnosed early with "aggressive" prostate cancer.

This revenue helps to fund journalism across The Independent. He said: “I think it’s a foregone conclusion that you probably ate one of them last night. There’s none on the farm and there’s no blood and guts, so somebody has stolen them and butchered them.
