Grand Theft Auto VI is going to be an absolutely massive video game, and that video game is going to have an equally massive soundtrack. In addition to Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a star-studded 34-track companion album featuring the likes of Cardi B, Travis Scott, Keith Richards, Yung Lean, Future, and PinkPantheress, there's an entirely separate 50-track Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score album from French blog-house overlords Justice. "The scope of the game is so large geographically and thematically that it was clear from the beginning the music would also have to be very broad in terms of emotions, genres, and textures,” Justice's Xavier de Rosnay says.
"We were given the freedom to explore as many things as we needed to, musically speaking." We've already heard Justice's Tame Impala/SZA/King Gizzard-featuring, Dire Straits-aping synth-rock anthem "Flower In A Hurricane," which will apparently be included on both GTA VI albums. (It's also worth noting that it debuted at #62 on the charts, giving King Gizzard their first Hot 100 hit). And now we're getting "Pusher," an ominously throbbing seven-minute collab between Justice and French dance producer Gesaffelstein that sounds like it will go hard as hell while driving around Miami — sorry, Vice City — committing crimes. Grand Theft Auto VI is out 11/19, and Justice's Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score album will be out 12/11 via Take-Two Interactive/Ed Banger/Because Music.
