The 43-year-old Canadian, who hosted a reunion special for the show in 2025, was speaking at the London premiere for the second series of the Hayu reality television show, which follows the personal and professional lives of six wealthy women living in the capital. Speaking to the Press Association, she said: "I think that a lover of The Real Housewives of London really feels attached to the ladies, they form almost a trauma bond. Ryan added: "It turns out that there is a big audience who want to see older women on television, and by older, I mean over the age of 25… "It is really a feminist dynasty, the Housewives franchise, because it is really passing the Bechdel test, it’s loads of very wealthy, very high status, very opinionated women over 40, and navigating those female friendships.
"It turns out loads and loads of people want to watch that. It’s an opera."
