Construction of the livestock exchange has begun in the Sairam district of Kazakhstan's Turkestan region using Australian technology. This is announced by the regional akimat's press service. The project is being implemented by RED GOLD LLP and is designed to support the development of the agricultural sector and diversify the regional economy.

"The RED GOLD livestock exchange is a large-scale and important project with no analogues in our country. This project is one of the significant initiatives aimed at increasing the investment potential of Turkestan region, taking agriculture to a new level and diversifying the regional economy," Turkestan Region Akim Nurlakhan Kusherov said during a capsule-laying ceremony. Commercial proposals have been received from Australian companies as part of the project, and relevant work is underway.

The metal structures for the facility are being manufactured by Turkish company Agro Fine. The total cost of the project amounts to 5.2 billion tenge (about $11.2 million). The project covers a land plot of 24 hectares.

About 30% of the construction materials are expected to be supplied from Australia, while the remaining 70% will come from Türkiye. Preparatory works at the construction site and foundation works have already started. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026-2027.

Once fully operational, the livestock exchange will be able to accommodate up to 5,000 head of cattle, 4,000 horses, and 10,000 small livestock at a time. Source: https://www.trend.az/casia/kazakhstan/4215365.html © 2026 Trend News Agency.
