Netflix is giving KPop Demon Hunters a new way to experience the movie — as a 700-page comic that recreates the story with a new look.

Netflix's breakout animated feature KPop Demon Hunters has been an unqualified streaming hit, with more than 1 billion hours viewed and a yearlong record-setting streak on the streaming service's top 10 charts. In November, KPop Demon Hunters will be coming home with a new Criterion Collection release that makes the cultural phenomenon easily available to watch offline. But Netflix has another offline KPop Demon Hunters release coming in November that's unlike anything the streamer has done before.

Netflix has teamed up with Penguin Random House to give Rumi, Mira, and Zoey a special boxed set comic that reimagines the animated movie in a totally new way. KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set is a 704-page, two-volume graphic novel that presents the movie as a full-color comic. Netflix and Penguin Random House's new book takes frames from the animated movie and lays them out like comic book panels, with speech bubbles and sound effects.

Yes, they'll be missing out on the dynamic animation and catchy K-pop tunes, but KPop Demon Hunters fans who want to obsess over every frame and panel will soon be able to do so at their own pace. Song-wise, KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set includes song lyrics from the full soundtrack, including the "Hunter’s Mantra" and "Jinu’s Lament." The deluxe set features a holographic foil slipcase, two paperback volumes, each with foil-stamped book covers, and a spine design that highlights Rumi's two sides. Foldout posters of Huntr/x and their rivals the Saja Boys are also included.

KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set costs $60 and will be released on Nov. 3 — the same day that KPop Demon Hunters' Criterion Collection release drops on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Blu-ray. Over the past 18 months, Netflix has scrambled to catch up to KPop Demon Hunters' unexpected success with a flood of merchandise, from American Girl dolls to Lego sets. In March 2026, Netflix officially inked a deal for a sequel, signing a multiyear writing and directing partnership with KPop Demon Hunters directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans.

The creative duo will lead the next chapter for triple-threat demon slayers Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Prior to that announcement, plans for a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters were rumored for months as Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation eyed a follow-up after the film broke out last summer. Sony itself quickly entered negotiations to lock Kang and Appelhans down for KPop Demon Hunters 2.

KPop Demon Hunters is the most popular Netflix movie of all time. Delivering a sequel to the pop culture phenomenon that spawned a chart-topping soundtrack, earned two Oscar nominations, won a Grammy, and captured the imagination of kids, tweens, and adults everywhere will be no easy feat. But it sounds like Kang, Appelhans, and crew will have time to figure it out.
