Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that Russia downed most of the 650 drones launched towards the capital overnight, of which 105 drones were downed close to the city itself. Both Ukraine and Russia have stepped up long-range strikes in recent months on civilian and industrial targets, including energy, transport and port infrastructure, as well as ships in the Black Sea.
