Lamar Jackson Could Get Top Weapon Back for Ravens-Browns Clash

The Ravens may be getting reinforcements as one of Lamar Jackson’s top weapons could return for Sunday’s game against the Browns.

The Baltimore Ravens have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL through the first five weeks of the season. First-year head coach Jesse Minter has the Ravens at 4-1, with wins over the Colts, Cowboys, Titans and Falcons. A narrow loss to the Saints in Week 2 is the only blemish.

Most impressive is that Baltimore beat the Falcons in Atlanta on Sunday night without Lamar Jackson, who missed the game with an ankle injury, and without third-round rookie wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, who is on injured reserve with a wrist injury. But Jackson reportedly has a chance to play against the Browns in Week 6, and NFL insider Mike Garafolo reports that Lane could make his highly anticipated return as well. Garafolo said Lane is expected to return to practice after having surgery on his wrist four weeks ago, and Minter said Lane “has a shot” to suit up against Cleveland on Sunday.

He finished that game with one catch on three targets for 11 yards, so Ravens fans haven’t truly seen the rookie in action yet outside of the preseason. In two preseason games, he had four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown, and he was one of the fastest risers in training camp, constantly making highlight-reel grabs that circulated on social media.

Jackson, Minter and other teammates and coaches raved about him all summer, and fans were eager to see him take the field.
