Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a left ankle injury during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans, causing him to miss the entire second half. Jackson left M&T Bank Stadium in a protective walking boot, and his status for this coming Sunday's primetime matchup against the Atlanta Falcons is in question. On Tuesday morning, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that Jackson has "only an outside chance" to play in Week 5.
He also added that the superstar quarterback could miss multiple games with the injury. In the wake of this report, Jackson shared a post on social media that got NFL fans talking. He posted a series of photos from Sunday's win over the Titans with the song "Somebody Lied" playing in the background.
Some fans took this as a callout of Rapoport's report. "Stuff like this is NOT a coincidence. Lamar is crazy calculated lol," one wrote.
"Lamar trying to give the streets hope but I fear we not seeing him Sunday," another added. "Lol only QB that makes everyone turn into investigators," another said. Before exiting Sunday's game, Jackson completed 15 of his 20 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for an additional 20 yards with his legs.
Tyler Huntley came in to replace Jackson, throwing for 63 yards in the second half. Sunday's game against the Falcons will kick off at 8:20 p.m.
