Inter's stunning comeback over Napoli won't soon be forgotten with five goals, 29 shots, eight on target, eight big chances created and an overall expected goal total of 4.58. If you haven't watched the Serie A game between Inter and Napoli, this is what you've missed just in the second half. Yes, you read that right.
It was one of the best games in the recent history of the Italian Serie A as Cristian Chivu's Inter finished their comeback in the last minutes of the second half at San Siro against Napoli. After an exciting first half, the score remained goalless, with Federico Dimarco's effort against the post the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock. The opening 45 minutes, however, were only a glimpse of what was to come after the break.
The team led by Massimiliano Allegri managed to score two at the beginning of the second half with Matteo Politano and Rasmus Hojlund, capitalizing on two big mistakes made by the Nerazzrrurri's defense. It took just three minutes after the restart following the second goal for Lautaro Martinez, brilliantly set up by Federico Dimarco, to give Inter a deserved goal. However, the home fans had to wait until the 82nd minute to celebrate again, when Marcus Thuram found the equaliser.
Inter seemed in much better shape than Napoli in the whole second part of the game, despite Napoli also having two huge chances to score the third goal with David Neres and Zambo Anguissa on counterattacks, but the way Inter conducted the second half paid off at the end as Lautaro found his second goal of the game and the winning goal of the day in Milan.
