The electronic music duo and the toy brick brand have partnered for a new multi-platform collaboration spanning product, content and brand experiences.
The partnership includes a Lego set based on the stage design from Daft Punk’s 2007 “Alive” tour, submitted on the toy company’s official crowdsourcing platform Lego Ideas. Created by a father-son duo from Belgium, the “Daft Punk Concert” was first entered into a music-themed Lego Ideas competition in 2020, where it was crowned grand prize winner. It has since also reached 10,000 supports on Lego Ideas, meaning it will advance into the next stage of development.
The set is based on the pyramid stage from the duo’s 2007 tour. The soundtrack is based on a bassline tribute from the band’s 2001 album “Discovery” as well as the title track from their 2005 album “Human After All.” In a press releases announcing the collaboration, Lego tease more offerings, saying fans will see “the duo brought to life in new ways across the Lego brand, through a mashup of surprising events and content that crosses music, culture and creative spaces.” This isn’t the first time the duo have taken Lego form of course: they also appeared as Minifigures in Pharrell’s 2024 Lego-animated documentary “Piece by Piece,” having collaborated with him and Nile Rodgers on the hit track “Get Lucky.” “What makes this partnership so special is the enduring appeal both brands share. Like the Lego brand, Daft Punk inspires generations through creativity, innovation and a deep connection with fans,” said Julia Goldin, Lego’s chief product and marketing officer.
This is just the beginning of a bigger journey – a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play.”
