Lucy Dacus is reissuing her debut album No Burden to celebrate its 10th anniversary. She’s kicking the festivities off with a bang: today, she is sharing the previously unreleased track “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye.” No Burden‘s 10th anniversary reissue arrives on Dec. 4. The album will be pressed on a special seaglass vinyl and preorders are ongoing.
No Burden includes songs “I Don’t Wanna Be Funny Anymore” and “Strange Torpedo,” among others. The song has become a favorite hidden gem among Dacus’ fans; the singer-songwriter has performed it a handful of times over the years. The Next President Must Do the Same Joy Division’s Stephen Morris on New ‘Eternal’ Box Set, Stepping Away From New Order Dacus spent her summer on tour across the United States plus on the festival circuit, including shows at Outside Lands and Newport Folk Festival. She’s concluding her tour by performing alongside Cat Power and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in a special tribute performance of Power’s album The Greatest on Sept. 13 at the Hollywood Bowl. Dacus’ album Forever Is a Feeling was released last March.
Back in April, she released “Planting Tomatoes” as a Record Store Day exclusive 7-inch vinyl, before it appeared on streaming platforms days later.
