Oscar-winning French actor Marion Cotillard will preside over the competition jury at the 23rd Marrakech Film Festival in November. Alongside her to be announced jury members, the “Inception” and “Dark Knight Rises” star will lead the decision of which film is awarded the Étoile d’Or out of Marrakech’s international competition, which consists of first and second features. In 2007, she portrayed French singer Édith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose” and won the Oscar for best actress, becoming the only actor to win an Academy Award for a French-language performance.
She earned her second best actress Oscar nomination in 2015 for the Dardenne Brothers’ “Two Days, One Night.” This year’s Marrakech Film Festival takes place from Nov. 20-28.
