The Atlanta Falcons took down the division-rival New Orleans Saints on Monday night, dominating with a 45-24 final score on the road. The Falcons did most of their work on the ground as Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. combined for more than 200 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Drake London once again led Atlanta in receiving, reeling in five catches for 96 yards from quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Tight end Kyle Pitts had his best game of the year so far, but that isn't saying much. He reeled in three catches for 47 yards — more than doubling his production from the previous three games combined. Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons feels the Falcons aren't utilizing Pitts to his full potential.
"Free Kyle Pitts!!" Parsons wrote on social media during Monday night's game. The Falcons selected Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, with the expectation that he would immediately play a massive role in the team's offensive production. But as he enters Year 6, he's yet to live up to that potential.
Pitts had the best season of his career in 2025, catching 88 passes for 928 yards and five touchdowns. Through four games this year, he has just five catches for 67 yards and no scores. The Falcons are 2-2 to open up the season.
This coming weekend, they'll face off against the Baltimore Ravens in a primetime "Sunday Night Football" matchup.
