One of Asia's poorest economies, Nepal faces daunting reconstruction efforts as it's squeezed by higher fuel costs, sluggish tourism and slowing growth.

At least 955 people have died and 4,471 remain missing in Nepal and China after a glacial collapse unleashed floods and debris across the border region, as rescue teams struggled to reach isolated communities.
