Newcastle have signed Nico Gonzalez from Man City.
The deal for the 24-year-old midfielder is set to reach £50m after add-ons. He will wear the No 6 shirt at St James' Park. The midfielder said his goodbyes to his City team-mates on Tuesday morning before travelling to Newcastle and completed a medical on Wednesday, before he was presented to the club's fans ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with West Brom.
The Spaniard has become Matthias Jaissle's second signing as Magpies head coach after Amar Dedic joined last week. Former Spain U21 international Gonzalez joined City from Porto in February 2025 and played 59 times for the club, scoring four goals. Play Super 6 for a chance to win £1m!
