Jordan Dajani gives his picks for Week 9 of the 2026 NFL season

Week 8 was magical for "Dajani Dimes." We went 11-3 against the spread, and 10-4 straight up. Funny enough, two of my three ATS losses came in my top five best bets. We knew the Detroit Lions would hand the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season, and that the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders would take care of business in their respective matchups.

Where we miscalculated was in taking the Cincinnati Bengals to blow out the Tennessee Titans, and the Atlanta Falcons to upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In my defense, I didn't know Cam Ward was going to register one of the best quarterback performances of the week, or that the Falcons and Bucs would be playing in a tornado-hurricane. Yeah, weather forecasts are important when it comes to gambling, but the Falcons' No. 4 run defense allowed Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell to rush for 310 yards.

Here's a look at what I'm thinking this week. As always, credit to the CBS Sports research team for making me sound smart. Top five picks ATS record: 19-20-1Overall ATS record: 62-57-2Straight-up record: 72-48-1 Sunday, 1 p.m.

ET (CBS, Stream on Paramount+) Another week, another magical Bo Nix comeback. And you clowns wanted him benched! The Denver Broncos offense scored 15 unanswered points vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth quarter, and then the defense pulled off a goal-line stand against Patrick Mahomes to seal the deal.

Nix leads the NFL since 2000 with 9.1 yards per attempt when down by one score in the fourth quarter. He has 15 game-winning drives to his name, which is one shy of the most in a three-season span in NFL history. Nix hasn't even played three full seasons.

This week, the Broncos take on a Carolina Panthers team that just fired their defensive coordinator and has some serious issues on the offensive line. Injuries are beginning to mount up front, and Bryce Young has been sacked 11 times over the last two games. Carolina is now tied for the second-most sacks allowed with 23, and up against an aggressive defense that ranks top five in sacks with 23.
