People battle huge waves to save boat in Acapulco during Hurricane Polo

People in Acapulco work together to pull a boat out of the water as a heavy swell hits Mexico's Pacific coast. Several people struggle to move the vessel ashore while large waves break along the beach. They keep hauling it towards safety as the sea remains rough.

The effort comes as residents take precautions while Hurricane Polo passes offshore. The storm was not expected to make landfall in Mexico. It was downgraded to Category 4 after reaching Category 5, the highest category, as it moved along the Pacific coast.
