Quinyon Mitchell and AJ Brown are used to going against each other at practice — but not with different teams. On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots took the field for a joint practice in Foxborough. This joint practice had some added intrigue, as Brown competed against his former team for the first time since the blockbuster trade earlier this offseason.

Brown, who publicly vocalized frustrations with the Eagles organization last season, was traded to New England on June 1. Brown lined up for a 1-on-1 drill against Mitchell. The All-Pro cornerback stuck with Brown the whole way on a deep-ball route, getting his hand in at the last second to force an incompletion in the end zone.

Through 15 games with the Eagles in 2025, Brown reeled in 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. Now, he's the new No. 1 target for rising quarterback star Drake Maye. Mitchell is entering his third season as a lock-down corner for the Eagles, fresh off his first career First Team All-Pro selection.

The Eagles and Patriots will take the field for a preseason matchup at 7 p.m. The teams are not scheduled to matchup against each other during the 2026 regular season.
