The Las Vegas Raiders welcomed several players for workouts on Thursday, including former No. 7 overall draft pick Evan Neal. Neal began his NFL career as an early first-round pick for the New York Giants in the 2022 draft. The first few years of his professional career were marred by injury issues as he appeared in just 29 games from 2022-24.

He missed the entire 2025 season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. The Giants declined to pick up Neal's fifth-year option, but re-signed him on a one-year, veteran-minimum deal in March. His contract was terminated last week, making him a free agent.

The Raiders also worked out defensive ends BJ and Azeez Ojulari, as well as veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The Raiders boosted their offensive line strength earlier this offseason, most notably with the addition of star center Tyler Linderbaum. Last year, Las Vegas rolled out one of the worst offensive line units in the league — allowing a league-worst 64 quarterback sacks while failing to provide running lanes for star rookie running back Ashton Jeanty.

The Raiders will begin their 2026 regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 13.
