Most Baltimore Ravens fans are worried about whether or not quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, will play in Week 5, and rightfully so. However, the Ravens could be without another one of their key offensive playmakers against the Atlanta Falcons this week, too. Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (foot) was a limited participant in the team's latest practice on Thursday, putting his Week 5 status very much in doubt.
He was also a limited participant on Wednesday. If Flowers were to miss the Ravens' Week 5 matchup against the red-hot Falcons, it would certainly be a tough obstacle to overcome, even if Jackson is on the field. Flowers has been very impressive to start the season, recording 18 catches for 352 yards and two touchdowns in just three games.
However, the start to Flowers' 2026 campaign has been plagued with injuries. In addition to his new foot injury, Flowers has also been nursing a lingering hamstring injury. Of course, the Ravens want Flowers back on the field as soon as possible, but if they hope to reach their Super Bowl aspirations this year, the team will need Flowers healthy for the long run.
That begs the question: Is it worth playing Flowers sooner than he's ready, especially if Jackson is unavailable to play this week, too? A first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Flowers has recorded 255 catches for 3,480 yards and 16 touchdowns in his professional career.
