Samsung’s latest smartwatch is already getting a major discount. The tech giant is offering up to $250 in instant trade-in credit on the new Galaxy Watch Ultra2, bringing its $699.99 starting price down to as low as $449.99 with an eligible device.

Shoppers can also save 10% on select Galaxy Buds when bundling them with the watch, making the promotion one of the better opportunities so far to pick up Samsung’s newest high-end wearable and headphones together. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 only arrived in stores in August after making its debut at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22. The 47mm smartwatch is Samsung’s most rugged wearable to date, with a titanium case and a 1.52-inch Super AMOLED sapphire-crystal display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

Samsung also gave the Ultra2 a major battery upgrade. Its new 800mAh battery is 35% larger than the one in the previous-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra, with Samsung advertising up to 60 hours of use on a charge. Despite the bigger battery, the company managed to shave 12% off the watch’s thickness, bringing it down to 10.7mm.

Inside is Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, paired with 2GB of memory and 64GB of storage. A lot of the upgrades are geared toward people who would rather spend their weekend on a trail than a treadmill. A new Trail Run mode tracks elevation, climbing progress and terrain data while offering pacing information, while Samsung’s Nutrition Alert can estimate sweat loss and suggest how much fluid a wearer should take in during longer workouts.

Dual-frequency GPS is also included for more accurate route tracking. The Ultra2 is built for underwater workouts, too. The watch carries 10ATM and IP69K ratings and is certified to the EN13319 standard used for diving equipment.

It can automatically record depth, dive time and water temperature, with Samsung additionally partnering with diving brand Mares on more advanced features including ascent and descent speeds and decompression information. For everyday wellness, Samsung is leaning heavily into AI-powered health insights. The Ultra2 includes the brand’s BioActive Sensor for heart-rate, electrical-heart-signal and body-composition measurements, along with features including Vitals, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index and Heart Health Score.
