Scottie Scheffler is coming off the momentum of his dominant win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship as part of the ongoing FedEx Cup Playoffs. With another big tournament on the way this week, Scheffler appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show," where he explained what his mindset is as he contends for the FedEx Cup trophy.
"I think mindset is just wanting to finish the season off the right way. Like I said, I've been close this year to playing some really good golf, and last week was nice, kind of getting in there and being able to get a win. You know I have two good opportunities in the next two weeks to have good starts and finish off the year the right way," Scheffler said.
"Also, when you start looking to the offseason, golf is just like an endless pursuit of trying to improve things, and we're never really close to perfecting this game. We're always just working, working, trying to improve a little bit at a time. That's what I love about the game," he said.
His win on Sunday at the St. Jude Championship was only his second of the season, after multiple runner-up finishes. That may have been the turnaround he needed at just the right moment.

Trailing him in second place is Matt Fitzpatrick with 3,426 points, followed by Cameron Young with 3,183 points.
Thursday brings the BMW Championship at the Bellerive Country Club in St. Scheffler is last year's winner at the event and certainly heads in as the favorite to win it. Rory McIlroy, who is 13th in the FedEx Cup standings, won the event in 2012.
