The Los Angeles Rams completed a fourth-quarter comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, notching a 24-20 final score at Lincoln Financial Field. Following a go-ahead touchdown from Rams running back Kyren Williams, Los Angeles coaching staff up in the sky-box got into a heated confrontation with the Eagles fans sitting in front of them. Several Philadelphia fans hurled obscenities, crude gestures and water bottles at the glass, as the Rams coaches responded with middle fingers of their own.
Clips of this incident went viral on social media, sparking a response from head coach Sean McVay. "Yep, we talked about it. We'll be better in those situations," McVay said in an interview.
Those fans are really into it, but I know that we want to make sure that we're representing the class and calm steadiness that we want to have, while also being emotionally into it." With Sunday's comeback win over the Eagles, the Rams improved their season record to 2-2. Philadelphia dropped to 2-2 with their second consecutive loss. The Rams will face off against the Buffalo Bills in a highly-anticipated "Monday Night Football" matchup in Week 5.
The Eagles will look to get back on track in an international matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday.
