Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud shared a harsh message to spectators throwing adult toys on the court during WNBA games.

Last season, multiple WNBA games were interrupted when green adult toys were thrown from the crowd onto the court. Those types of disruptions started again for the first time this season on Thursday during a game between the Atlanta Dream and Los Angeles Sparks, then it happened again multiple times during a game between the Chicago Sky and Golden State Valkyries on Friday. After the Sky's game, Chicago guard Natasha Cloud shared a harsh message to the people throwing adult toys onto the court.

And I want you to know that’s the gayest thing that you can do is go to a sex shop, buy a dildo, come to a women’s game to throw the dildo on the court. I'm a firm believer in anyone that has so much problem with a certain marginalized group, just come out and say that you're part of our marginalized group. That hate is unwarranted, it's not factual and it says more about the internal struggles of that individual than it will ever say about the collective group," Cloud said.

According to USA Today, the same group that claimed responsibility for last season's disruptions are also taking responsibility for this season's incidents. The group of crypto enthusiasts and traders reportedly started throwing them on the court last season to generate attention for their meme coin. But this season, the group is reportedly throwing adult toys on the court to protest transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.

Although no transgender athletes currently play in the WNBA, the league's collective bargaining agreement does not explicitly state only biological women can compete. The WNBA has been facing a lot of controversy surrounding the debate about transgender athletes competing in women's sports. The group throwing the toys wrote on X it will continue disrupting games until the WNBA prohibits transgender athletes from playing in the league.
