Bentley Green will portray RBX, with G Perico as Big Reecie Cup Universal’s Snoop Dogg biopic is amping up its supporting cast with SwayvoTwain (“Family Legacy,” “Love & Neo-Soul: Honoring the Legacy of D’Angelo”) set to portray Biggie, Bentley Green (“The Land,” “Undercard”) to play RBX and G Perico (“Kings of L.A.,” “She Ball”) as Big Reecie Cup. Jonathan Daviss stars in “Snoop,” which is described as the “definitive biopic of the entertainment mogul and icon,” Snoop Dogg. Christopher Wallace, aka the Notorious B.I.G., was one of the most influential hip-hop artists of the ’90s and the face of East Coast gangsta rap until his death in 1997.
Despite being signed to West Coast powerhouse Death Row Records, Snoop and Biggie shared mutual respect. RBX, whose real name is Eric Dwayne Collins, signed with Death Row in the ’90s alongside his cousin Snoop, launching a rap career that spanned 30 years and multiple hit records. Big Reecie Cup is another key figure in Snoop’s Long Beach roots.
Craig Brewer (“Hustle and Flow,” “Song Sung Blue”) is directing “Snoop,” which Universal dated for theatrical release on Aug. 6, 2027, based on his rewrite of Joe Robert Cole’s (“Black Panther, “”Wakanda Forever”) original script. The trio of emerging actors add to the film’s starry ensemble, which also features Myles Bullock Be (as Dr. Dre), Lauren London (Snoop’s late mother, Beverly Tate), Camron Jones (Tupac Shakur), Algee Smith (Warren G), Tre Hale (Suge Knight), Laya DeLeon Hayes (Snoop’s wife, Shante Broadus), Olly Sholotan (Kurupt), Corey Champagne (Nate Dogg) and Jonica Booth (The Lady of Rage).
SwayvoTwain, born Michael D’Angelo Archer II, is a recording artist, songwriter and performer. His parents are the late legendary artists Angie Stone and D’Angelo. His recent music, including “DoveSoar” and “Ms.
Angie’s Son,” reflects on their enduring influence while foreshadowing the unique artist SwayvoTwain is becoming, with his blend of Southern soul, hip-hop, melodic R&B and emotionally driven storytelling. He is represented by Mannie House. Green began his career as a performer at a young age before transitioning into scripted television, where he made his debut on the popular YouTube series “Epic Rap Battles of History,” portraying a young Michael Jackson and Tootie Ramsey.
Since then, he has starred opposite Courtney B. Vance in AMC’s series “61st Street” and with Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls in the Hulu comedy “White Men Can’t Jump.” His television resume also includes recurring roles in FX’s “Snowfall,” Netflix’s “Mr. Iglesias” and “Sweet Magnolias” and ABCs “The Good Doctor.” Green will next star opposite Wanda Sykes in the feature film “Undercard” and will be featured in Dan Fogelman’s NFL series “The Land” for Hulu.
