Tottenham are closing in on signing Manchester City pair Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Spurs have agreed an £85m deal for Savinho, which will see them pay an initial £75m for the Brazil international, with a further £10m available in add-ons. It is understood that £5m of the potential bonuses are effectively guaranteed, meaning City could receive at least £80m from the deal.
The 22-year-old is scheduled to have a medical with Tottenham on Friday afternoon. Spurs are also close to agreeing a deal for Marmoush, with talks progressing well and moving in the right direction. Tottenham have already spent more than £200m on six first-team players this summer.
They spent £185m on two midfielders, Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes, from Newcastle and West Ham respectively. Jan Paul van Hecke joined from Brighton for £52m to replace Cristian Romero. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka all arrived on free transfers.
Meanwhile, Savinho's potential sale would be a club record for Man City, surpassing Julian Alvarez's £82m move to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024. Savinho, who has played a bit-part role since joining Manchester City in 2024, started only seven of his 24 Premier League appearances last season, in which he scored once and set up two goals.
