Along with the Los Angeles Chargers (0-3), the Houston Texans (0-3) have arguably been the most disappointing team entering Week 4 of the NFL season. The Texans have been without star wide receiver Nico Collins for the last two games while the two-time Pro Bowler deals with a hamstring injury. Collins returned to practice on Wednesday though, giving him a chance to suit up on Sunday when Houston hosts the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.
The 27-year-old has been one of the best wideouts in the game since breaking out in his third NFL season. Collins set career highs in receptions (80), receiving yards (1,297) and receiving touchdowns (eight) during that 2023 campaign and earned his first two Pro Bowl nods in 2024 and 2025. The 2021 third-round pick has been Texans quarterback C.J.
Stroud's favorite target since the latter's 2023 rookie season, leading Houston in targets, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in each year. Collins has had trouble with injuries across his first five-plus professional campaigns, however, as this season will be his sixth straight where he's missed at least two contests. He tied his career high with 15 games played last season, though he was sidelined for Houston's AFC Divisional Round playoff loss versus the New England Patriots due to a concussion.
Collins had a big season-opening performance in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, posting game highs in targets (10) and receptions (seven), while recording 75 receiving yards and one touchdown as well.
