Injuries are quickly piling up in the NFL at the wide receiver position. The Los Angeles Rams are likely going to be without All-Pro receiver Puka Nacua for a second straight week while he rehabs a hip injury, while the Baltimore Ravens are dealing with their own uncertainty surrounding Zay Flowers. Stroud and the Houston Texans also may not have their own Pro Bowl wideout, Nico Collins, Sunday against the Colts as he's still recovering from a hamstring injury.
"Nico Collins, he's dealing with a hamstring injury, did not play last week, has not yet been able to practice this week. My understanding is that he's very much in doubt for Sunday," said NFL insider Ian Rapoport on Friday's episode of "SportsCenter." They did it last year, but they've got several difficult matchups late in the season this year, including the Cowboys, Giants, Ravens, Eagles, and Packers, as well as the Jaguars (twice).
Collins, a former third-round pick in 2021 out of Michigan, has quickly developed into one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL, earning back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2024 and 2025. He's coming off three straight 1,000-yard seasons as the Texans go-to receiver and remains their best weapon on offense. In their Week 2 loss to the Bengals, tight end Dalton Schultz finished as the team's leading receiver with 140 yards on 12 catches, but they'll need one of their young pass catchers to step up this week in Indianapolis.
