Stroud went viral once already this offseason after he showed up to the team’s facility sporting a clean-cut look with his signature dreadlocks a thing of the past. But now, Stroud is going viral for another reason — one that had fans mercilessly mocking him on social media. Stroud had a lot of fans scratching their heads when a video of him doing a pregame warmup ahead of Thursday’s preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders went viral.
In the video, Stroud holds out both of his hands straight in front of him with his thumbs up as he shifts his eyes back and forth between them before movings his thumbs vertically and continuing to shift his eyes back and forth. One fan pointed out that what Stroud is doing is likely to help prevent the effects of vertigo, while others speculated he was doing some form of a vestibular exercise. However, the majority of the comments weren’t as understanding.
Several fans roasted Stroud for doing what looked like a field sobriety test, and others couldn’t help but crack jokes about calibrating himself before taking the field. Think he playing golf 😂😂😂,” one user quipped. He completed 4 of 6 passes for 27 yards and led a 10-play, 69-yard touchdown drive on Houston’s opening series before giving way to backup Davis Mills on the Texans’ second drive.
