For nearly 35 years now, Stuart Staples has led the culty, adventurous UK indie band Tindersticks, and he's not slowing down now. In 2024, Tindersticks released the acclaimed and experimental album Soft Tissue. Last year, they headed out on their first North American tour in 16 years.

And today, Tindersticks announce plans for their 15th studio album. The new Tindersticks LP is called Dog Roses, and it's set to arrive in March. It's the first that the band has made after leaving their longtime studio, recording instead at what a press release calls "a hidden underground studio." This time around, they're joined by electric guitarist Dave Okumu, of the Invisible, and saxophonist Julian Siegel.

Here's what Stuart Staples says about the new LP in a press release: With our last album, 2023’s Soft Tissue, we felt like we were looking over the fence into a new landscape, maybe even leaning over. Making 15 albums we have learned that sometimes there are steps forward, sometimes there are leaps. Soft Tissue was a great step, but it was time to try and leap over that fence...Most things I have learned, that I thought I knew about making albums, proved to be of little use when making Dog Roses.

I have always had a strong sense of time and place in my writing — but sometimes while making this album it felt like trying to catch only a fragrance or the feeling of the knot in my stomach, or catching a glance of myself in a mirror — the 1000 questions, thoughts, emotions you can feel in one moment. Below, check out the album's lush lead single "Loving, Leaving" and the album's tracklist. TRACKLIST:01 "Loving, Leaving"02 "Intimacy"03 "Wild Sage"04 "Slow Love"05 "Flying Cars"06 "Your Children"07 "Tell Me About You"08 "Dog Roses" Dog Roses is out 3/12 on City Slang.
