The Kansas City Chiefs started their season on the right foot on Monday, as they defeated the Denver Broncos by a 31-10 final score. Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce put together a solid performance against the Broncos, recording three receptions and 71 receiving yards. With this performance, the 36-year-old set another impressive milestone.
Kelce now has the second-most career receiving yards by a tight end in NFL history at 13,073 yards, passing Jason Witten. With this, Tony Gonzalez is now the only tight end in NFL history to have more career receiving yards than Kelce at 15,127. Following achieving this excellent milestone, Kelce gifted Chiefs teammate Xavier Worthy his record-breaking jersey and left the 23-year-old wide receiver a nice message in the process.

It is something that Worthy probably appreciates immensely, and it is a prime example of Kelce being a good teammate. Now, Kelce and the Chiefs will be looking to build off their strong Week 1 as the season carries on. The Chiefs are set to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, who just lost to the Baltimore Ravens 41-23 in their Week 1 game.
