Bob Chesney is off to a flawless start in his first season as head coach of the UCLA Bruins, opening the year with a 7-0 record. UCLA hired Chesney as its new head football coach following his impressive two-year stint as program leader for JMU. In 2025, Chesney led the Dukes to a 12-2 record capped off by a first-round loss to Oregon in the College Football Playoff.

Very excited about the future." Chesney and UCLA will look to further their undefeated record in a matchup against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday. The Bruins will then close out their regular-season schedule with matchups against Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan and USC.
