It also makes me think that the blood must somehow be solid, and possibly also explosive? It sounds unpleasant, which means it's a great topic for a new Undeath song. Undeath, the Rochester death metal berserkers, were a Stereogum Band To Watch back in 2023.
Their most recent album More Insane, which had some truly disgusting cover art, came out in 2024, and they followed it with a self-released two-song single last year. Yesterday, Undeath announced that they've signed with Relapse, with a new album coming next year, and they shared the new single "Arterial Bombardment," a cavernous and evil blast of fast riffs and demon-gurgle vocals. In a press release, the band says that they "had to come out swinging, and a track full of non-stop riffing, blasting, death metal sickness seems like the perfect way to do so." Check it out below.
