Groq, a San Francisco-based AI infrastructure company, has raised $350m in a Series A round that values the company at $3.5bn. The round was led by technology investment company Disruptive, with Nvidia expected to participate. Alongside the $650m secured in June 2026, the latest fundraise takes Groq's recent funding to $1bn.

Completion of the Series A remains subject to customary closing conditions. Groq aims to use the funding to expand its data centre network and support customers seeking access to medium and larger clusters of Nvidia accelerated computing for training and inference work. The company currently runs 13 data centres in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, and expects to grow from 54MW of capacity to more than 200MW in 2027.

According to the company, more than six million developers, Fortune 500 businesses and thousands of AI-native firms use its platform, generating trillions of tokens each week. Groq executive chairman and Disruptive CEO Alex Davis said: "We are building Groq into the world's leading AI inference cloud. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Nvidia at such an important juncture for the ecosystem.

"Inference will without a doubt become the largest and most critical layer of AI infrastructure. Our team has unmatched experience operating LPUs at scale and delivering the performance, efficiency and reliability that the next generation of AI demands. "We will be focused on supporting the most important model makers to further contribute to the global growth of innovation and American ingenuity." Groq is an Nvidia Cloud Partner (NCP), a certification covering the design, deployment and operation of Nvidia accelerated computing in line with Nvidia's reference architecture and operational standards.

The company positions itself as a global AI infrastructure platform, combining infrastructure, inference and cloud services in a single distributed offering. Its stack is anchored by bare-metal infrastructure supporting production inference workloads, alongside enterprise governance and control features, with capacity placed close to users in different regions. In September 2025, Groq announced a $750m funding round that gave it a post-money valuation of $6.9bn.

Disruptive led the financing. Groq also drew investment from BlackRock, Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, Neuberger Berman, and a large US West Coast-based mutual fund manager. "US AI infrastructure company Groq raises $350m Series A at $3.5bn valuation" was originally created and published by Verdict, a GlobalData owned brand.
