The Clemson Tigers could have another game this season delayed due to heavy rain and thunderstorms projected for Saturday.

The Clemson Tigers are on notice once again from the National Weather Service before they prepare to host No. 4 Miami on Saturday night. The Tigers started the season by playing three consecutive contests that had a delay due to inclement weather. Clemson's season-opener was delayed nearly two hours before Lane Kiffin and LSU beat them 51-10 in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers had a near two-hour weather delay before they defeated Georgia Southern 22-7 in Week 2. In Week 3, play was stopped in the fourth quarter due to a lightning delay. Clemson came out of the break and completed a comeback to beat North Carolina 28-20.

The Tigers will play their first ranked opponent since LSU, and weather could factor into the contest that Dabo Swinney needs to have a good showing in. Per Chapel Fowler of The State Newspaper, Clemson is monitoring potential heavy rain and thunderstorms.

There are no changes to the schedule as of this publishing. "Per Clemson: The school is 'monitoring potential inclement weather' for Saturday's game vs. No. 4 Miami, as heavy rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast," Fowler posted on X.

"There are NO changes to kickoff time as of now (still 7:30 p.m. Saturday), but if anything changes, they'll announce it." The delay worked against Clemson in Week 1. However, North Carolina mismanaged its offensive game plan when coming out of the lightning delay in Week 3, and had to settle for a field goal after a long drive where the Tar Heels had the ball from goal to go.

Miami and Clemson are no strangers to rainy weather, so there shouldn't be an advantage for Saturday night's game if there is rain. For more on the NCAA, head to Newsweek Sports.
