Miami-based fitness influencer Liam Fitzgerald has died at the age of 29 following a motorcycle accident, his girlfriend has announced. Jamie Lyn Rinaldi shared the news in an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, revealing that Fitzgerald died in the early hours of Friday. "It is with the heaviest heart that I share the devastating news that Liam passed away following a motorcycle accident on October 30th at approximately 2 AM," Rinaldi wrote.
She said Fitzgerald suffered severe injuries in the crash and could not be saved despite efforts to revive him. "There are no words to describe the heartbreak of this loss. This is an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time for everyone who knew and loved him," she added.
Fitzgerald, who had amassed more than one million followers on Instagram, regularly shared content about fitness, lifestyle and personal finance with his online audience. Rinaldi asked followers to keep his family and loved ones in their thoughts and respect their privacy as they come to terms with his death. She concluded the tribute with the words: "Rest peacefully, Liam we love you so much." Newsweek contacted the Miami police department via email on Sunday for comment.
Fitzgerald was a fitness and lifestyle influencer, and OnlyFans content creator, who had built an online following through workout advice and lifestyle posts. He also worked as a fitness coach, offering personalized one-on-one training sessions through his website, as well as social-media coaching. His social-media presence included posts featuring motorcycles, a passion he shared with Rinaldi.
The couple had previously posted videos and photos involving motorcycle rides. This is a developing story and will be updated.
