The people’s princess of Dancing With the Stars, Tatyana Ali, isn’t holding back after last night’s team dance. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum thanked fans for their support on Threads after the show and encouraged them to vote for her and her pro partner, Jan Ravnik. She also took some time to answer her followers’ questions, and let’s just say one particular response had fans raising eyebrows.
When someone asked how she went about choosing who she’d dance with on Team Slaytopia, the actor opened up about the real intention behind her decision. Another fan responded, “Maybe I’m reading too much into it but she strikes me as someone who is very intentional about who she shares space with. And I think who she picked was a reflection of that.” Tatyana seemingly confirmed the second fan was on point with their theory when she responded, “Very much so.” Tatyana didn’t say much, but that didn’t stop people from reading into her three-word response.
Fans theorized she may have taken a subtle swipe at Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson after all that LiftGate drama that went down a few weeks ago. She seems like a girls girl so it makes sense even if we’re ignoring the drama with that family.” While there’s no confirmation that her team dance decision tied back to the controversy, it did surround Tatyana’s show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, when Val referenced Will Smith’s infamous Oscars slap in 2022 while defending his wife against Carrie Ann Inaba’s critiques. Either way…so happy to see Tatyana and Jan are still in the running to win the coveted Mirrorball Trophy!
