The Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders took the field for a joint practice session on Tuesday, preparing for their preseason matchup on Thursday night. This marked the first career joint practice for No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. After this practice session, First Team All-Pro defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was asked for his first impression of the rookie quarterback.
"[I have] a ton of respect for him," Anderson said. I love the way he was cheering his O-line on — cheering his team on. He's going to be a really great quarterback in this league." Mendoza split first-team reps with veteran signal caller Kirk Cousins during Wednesday's joint practice.
