As the New York Yankees prepare for their series against the Tampa Bay Rays, they have provided a positive update regarding Jazz Chisholm Jr. While speaking to reporters, including MLB.com's Bryan Hoch, Yankees manager Aaron Boone shared that Chisholm is expected to be activated from the injured list between the games of their doubleheader against the Rays on Tuesday. Chisholm has been out of the Yankees' lineup the last two weeks due to a right thumb sprain.
Yet, with this update from Boone, it appears that the seven-year MLB veteran is ready to return to action for New York. With the playoffs being right around the corner for the Yankees, it is good to hear that Chisholm is being activated from the injured list. He will now be looking to have a strong finish to the regular season before the Yankees kick off their wild card series against the Boston Red Sox.
Chisholm has recorded 19 home runs, 55 RBI, and a .232 batting average in 134 games this season with the Yankees. This is after he had 31 home runs, 80 RBI, and a .242 batting average in 130 games during the 2025 campaign with New York.
