The New York Yankees are going to be without one of their top pitchers for the next little bit at least. The Yankees have announced that they have placed starting pitcher Max Fried on the 15-day injured list due to a left elbow bone bruise. With Fried being a very important part of the Yankees' pitching rotation, there is no question that his absence is notable.
Due to this, the Yankees will be hoping that the 6-foot-4 lefty will be able to return once this 15-day stint on the injured list passes. Fried has appeared in 15 games this season with the Yankees, where he has a 4-4 record, a 2.81 ERA, and 79 strikeouts. This is after he posted a 19-5 record, a 2.86 ERA, and 189 strikeouts during his first season with the Yankees in 2025.
With this, he has been a very good pitcher for the Yankees since his arrival, so his absence will certainly be felt.
