3 Sex Toys Reportedly Thrown on Court During Sky-Valkyries in Chicago

Unfortunately, some people have decided to disrespect WNBA players by throwing sex toys on the court during games again.

On Thursday night, the Atlanta Dream's game against the Los Angeles Sparks in Crypto.com Arena was interrupted in the third quarter. Sparks forward Jihyun Park stood at the free-throw line, but before she could attempt a free throw, a green sex toy flew through the air in front of her before landing on the court. The person responsible was subsequently arrested and received an indefinite ban from all NBA, WNBA, and affiliated league games and events, according to Zach Powell of The Athletic.

You'd think that punishment — and a general baseline of common sense and morality — would deter someone from tossing sex toys onto the court during WNBA games. Unfortunately, that was not the case. "At least three green [sex toys] were just thrown on the court here in Chicago," Front Office Sports' Colin Salao reported Friday night, referencing the Chicago Sky's game against the Golden State Valkyries.

Salao later posted a photo showing the sex toys on the floor. Separately, this video began circulating allegedly showing fans at Wintrust Arena booing whoever did it. In the actual game, Sky fans had plenty to cheer about.

Chicago (15-22) upset Golden State (25-11), winning 73-70 on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Sydney Taylor. The Sky had four starters score in double digits, including Taylor's 14 points. Veteran guard Natasha Cloud led all scorers with 17 points.

Chicago will ride a three-game winning streak into its matchup against the Indiana Fever (24-13) in Chicago on Sunday. We know at least one fan will not be in attendance. And honestly, it's their loss.
