All air traffic into of Miami International Airport is grounded due to a disabled aircraft, according to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) airport status information website. Multiple videos shared to social media show billowing smoke coming from an aircraft with an Amazon logo on the wing that appears to be on a roadway. "21 Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at Miami International Airport around 2 p.m. local time," the FAA told Newsweek in an emailed statement Sunday.
"The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico." The FAA says it will investigate the incident and referred Newsweek to the airline for more details. It is unclear if there are any injuries or fatalities at this time. Newsweek reached out to Amazon Prime, the Miami International Airport, and Miami Fire and Rescue.
