Forward Awak Kuier continues to make Dallas Wings franchise history as one of the best defenders in the WNBA. Just a day after her 25th birthday, Kuier broke the Wings' single-game blocks record with seven in the Wings' 91-85 win over the Indiana Fever on Thursday. On Thursday against the Fever, Kueir also scored 11 points and record eight rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes.
Kuier also ranks sixth in the WNBA with an average of 1.4 blocks per game. With Azzi Fudd out for the season after being scheduled to undergo arthroscopic procedure on her knee, the Wings needed someone like Kuier to step up in her place.
