No surprise here: With Channing Dungey opting to remain with Warner Bros. TV Group, she is believed to have sealed a deal with its new parent company, Skydance. Terms or length of the new contract aren’t known, but obviously with the new company structure and expanded role for Dungey, a revised employment agreement would come with the changes.

As previously reported, Dungey will continue to oversee Warner Bros. TV Group, but there’s no word yet on any title change. (She’s currently chairman, although not using the “CEO” part of her title right now post-merger.) Dungey also continues to oversee U.S. Networks — and under the merger, Dungey will now be charged with the Paramount Media Networks stable of cablers in addition to her ongoing role as head of Warner Bros.

Dungey joins other former Warner Bros. Discovery execs like Casey Bloys (now co-chair and chief content officer for Skydance DTC) and JB Perrette (now co-chair & chief business officer, Skydance TV and co-chair & chief business officer, Skydance DTC) in also reupping with the new company under new terms. In a memo Dungey sent to staffers earlier this week, she confirmed that she’ll be reporting to Perrette (in his Skydance TV role) and newly named Skydance TV co-chair and chief content officer George Cheeks.

Cheeks and Perrette are expected to reveal the Skydance TV executive structure next week, including perhaps new titles for execs like Dungey, CBS Studios president David Stapf and Paramount TV Studios president Matt Thunell. In her note, Dungey noted the studio’s recent successes, including 13 new series orders and 13 series renewals so far this year and its overall slate of more than 80 titles for over 20 platforms. And in a conversation with Variety earlier this summer, she expressed her interest in sticking with the company post-merger: “I love my team at Warner Bros.

I love our shows, our talent. And I’ve become very happy in my U.S. networks role, which was something that I didn’t see coming almost two years ago. The best-case scenario for me is something that allows me to continue to play around in both of these spaces.”
