The Indianapolis Colts could be without one of their top playmakers for another week.

The Indianapolis Colts are coming off their second-straight and fourth total loss of the 2026 season, and it's safe to say a large reason why is because they were without one of their top playmakers. Unfortunately, his return to the field remains unknown. According to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk, Colts second-year tight end Tyler Warren was still sidelined on Wednesday with a groin injury.

It's certainly not the news Colts fans were hoping to hear as the team is schedule to take on the undefeated Minnesota Vikings in Week 7. However, head coach Shane Steichen did provide a bit of a promising update after practice. It can't be understated how much Warren means to the Colts' offense.

Despite missing Week 6, he still leads the team with 30 catches to go along with 213 yards and two touchdowns. In the meantime, the Colts will have to continue relying on veteran wide receivers Josh Downs, Keenan Allen and Laquon Treadwell as well as backup tight end Mo Alie-Cox. The Colts selected Warren with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Penn State, where he won the John Mackey Award as the nation's top tight end in 2024.

It didn't take Warren long to establish himself as one of the best up-and-coming tight ends in the league, either. As a rookie, Warren racked up 76 catches for 817 yards and four touchdowns.
