Dak Prescott led the Cowboys to a big win over the Texans, tying the legendary Roger Staubach for a major career milestone.

The Dallas Cowboys bounced back from last week's disappointing last-second loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans. A huge part of Sunday's win was quarterback Dak Prescott connecting with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who finished with 189 receiving yards and a touchdown. Prescott completed 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards and a touchdown to Lamb.

With the victory, the Cowboys' star quarterback also reached a major career milestone. He officially tied legendary Roger Staubach for the second-most wins in franchise history. Both players have 85, with Staubach achieving the milestone years ago.

The Cowboys great went on to win two Super Bowls with Dallas and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, both of which Prescott would love to achieve in his time in the NFL. He achieved 94 wins before ending his career with Dallas and was also inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

That means that Prescott needs nine more wins to tie Aikman and 10 to break the record. Unless some sort of injury strikes, he has a chance to get the record this season, but that also depends on how well his team plays through the remaining schedule. The team is currently 2-2 after Sunday's win.

They have a short break before their next game, as they will host the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Oct. 8. Tampa Bay is using rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels amid Baker Mayfield's recovery from a dislocated thumb injury. "We gotta get back tomorrow at it," Prescott said when CBS's Pam Oliver spoke to him after they defeated Houston.

"It's gonna be a quick turnaround. Use this momentum, use what we did in the second half, and just keep going." Things get a bit more challenging after Thursday's game, with road games against the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles before the Cowboys return home on Nov. 1 to host the Arizona Cardinals. The Packers have struggled but won on Sunday and are 2-2.
