Philadelphia Eagles stars Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith will miss Sunday's international game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Philadelphia Eagles will take a depleted offense across the pond for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Philadelphia confirmed Friday that two key stars won't play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Eagles officially ruled out Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith for the Week 5 matchup.

Barkley left last Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return. The superstar running back hasn't practiced all week. Barkley won't get a chance to turn around a quiet start to the 2026 season on Sunday.

The 29-year-old has recorded 190 scrimmage yards and no touchdowns through four games despite averaging his most yards per run after contact (2.6) since 2019. When he returns, the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year will operate behind a ransacked offensive line. The Eagles traded Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens a day after All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson retired.

Making matters worse, Barkley's potential replacement is also hurt. The Eagles placed Tank Bigsby on the injured reserve Wednesday, but they signed Dameon Pierce to join Will Shipley in the backfield. Committing to a heavier pass game may not be a worthwhile pivot with a hamstring injury also sidelining Smith.

Jalen Hurts mustered 93 passing yards without his top wide receiver last Sunday. Smith still leads the Eagles with 237 receiving yards despite missing a game, and Dontayvion Wicks is the only other wideout with more than 65 yards. On the bright side, tight end Dallas Goedert fully participated in Friday's practice after missing Week 4 with a knee issue.

The Eagles also ruled out wide receiver Hollywood Brown, safety Marcus Epps, linebacker Jonathan Greenard, and center Drew Kendall for Sunday's game. The international showcase starts at 9:30 a.m.
