It may not feel like it, but the Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0. They barely clung to a victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 1, then narrowly defeated the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Saquon Barkley struggled on the ground in both games and could now miss time with a stinger injury.
Jalen Hurts, meanwhile, has been up and down, throwing for 467 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions across the first two games. Still, a win is a win, and the Eagles currently sit atop the NFC East. But they've just been dealt a massive blow on offense, with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting that Philadelphia's star tight end Dallas Goedert will likely miss the next few weeks with a sprained MCL, an injury he suffered in the Eagles' Week 2 win over the Titans.

But he left the Titans game midway through the second quarter with the MCL injury and didn't return. Philly will need to find a way to keep the offense going without Goedert, who has been one of Hurts' most reliable targets for years.
Now in his ninth season with the Eagles, he's recorded 4,757 receiving yards, 37 touchdowns, and 414 catches, including a strong 2025 season in which he posted 591 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns on 60 catches. He was expected to take another leap this season and looked well on his way toward a breakout after Week 1. Now, that'll have to wait.
