ESPN's College GameDay had an easy decision to make when it came to this week's location. The flagship college football program will be in Tuscaloosa for the highly-anticipated SEC rivalry clash between the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide. So, what famous Alabama figure will be Saturday's celebrity guest picker?
On Thursday, ESPN announced that Carolina Panthers quarterback/former Crimson Tide star Bryce Young will take the stage to join the College GameDay crew. Coincidentally, the Panthers are on their bye week — opening up Young's schedule for this appearance in Tuscaloosa. The NFL's 2023 No. 1 overall draft pick will be seated next to his former Alabama coach, Nick Saban.
Young is fresh off a masterful "Sunday Night Football" performance this past weekend, throwing for 329 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 4 win over the Detroit Lions. Due to forecasted inclement weather, Saturday's edition of College GameDay will take place inside Coleman Coliseum, the university's basketball arena and multiple-purpose venue. Both Georgia and Alabama are 5-0 to begin the 2026 college football season, meaning this matchup has serious College Football Playoff implications.
Saturday's game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
